Meet Kevin Quick

An architectural photographer with a creative touch and fun-loving spirit.

It is estimated that the average person makes about 35,000 remotely conscious decisions each day.

I can pinpoint 3 in my life as the most impactful.

The first was one winter when I was five.

I decided I wanted to walk around town through feet of snow to take pictures of snow covered flower boxes in people’s windows. My mom placated me.

I learned there are dozens of ways to view any object. Even the trivial ones.

As an aside, I later found out there was no film in the camera, but that was about 20 years later.

The second was the decision to pursue the creative arts through college.

It might not have been the smartest decision of the three. I have come to learn that everything I learned at my private university, in regard to film and digital media, is available to learn for free online.

But the decision was important because it surrounded me with other creative people. Just like the window boxes, it was reinforced in me that there are one million different perspectives. Take your time to consider as many as you can.

Finally, the third most important decision was to cancel my return ticket home to Chicago while on vacation in Sarasota.

It was a punishing winter, and images of a particularly heinous storm were flooding into my news feed.

I canceled my flight and rocked up on a few brand-new apartment complexes close to downtown. I leased for 3 months at one. I extended another 6 months. Then a full year.

In the parking garage of that building, I met the woman I plan on marrying.

My career, and life, were ultimately affected by these three small decisions that seemed so inconsequential at the time.

Now don’t you think you should hire a photographer who is that conscientious of tiny, minute details?

Some non-real estate photos, for fun
